Having wowed us with old-school hip hop number ‘This World feat. Benny Mails’, Gotts Street Park show us another string to their many feathered bow in ‘Love In Bad Company’. The Leeds collective cut their teeth working on R&B records for Mabel, Kali Uchis and Cosima, but prove that they are also the masters of all things soulful in this latest release. Featuring sublime vocals from Dielle, who the group came across at an open mic night in Leeds, the track broods on the darker side of love: ‘We were just wasting time / you were mine before love in bad company’. With this latest track released via tastemaker label Blue Flower Music (Nilüfer Yanya, Joe Fox), Gotts ­­Street Park look set for a very exciting year ahead. -HM
